National embarrassment-Group slams lawmakers who followed Saraki’s wife to EFCC
A group, Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, has described as a national embarrassment the lawmakers who followed wife of Senate President Bukola Saraki, Toyin, to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission’s office last week.
The wife of the Senate President was accompanied to the EFCC’s office in Abuja by 25 lawmakers.
According to the Executive Chairman of the CACOL, Debo Adeniran, that the lawmakers should abandon their constitutional duties to follow Mrs Saraki, who was being investigated for corruption charges by the anti-corruption agency, is the height of irresponsibility.

95 generals moved in fresh Army shake-up
The Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Tukur Buratai has carried out a massive shake-up in the hierarchy of the Nigerian Army that affected 95 generals. This came as President Muhammadu Buhari declared that Nigeria has taken the International Court of Justice ruling on Bakassi Peninsula in good faith.
The shake-up in the army also included the appointment of new General Officers Commanding the Divisions of the Nigerian Army as well as new Principal Staff Officers to run the affairs of Army headquarters.

Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has ordered the striking civil servants to resume work immediately or risk being summarily sacked.

Los Angeles bans gun magazines larger than 10 rounds
Los Angeles city council has voted unanimously to ban the possession of large-capacity gun magazines, following San Francisco to become the second major city in California to take that step.
The law prohibits Los Angeles residents from possessing a handgun or rifle magazine that fits more than 10 rounds.
When the new law takes effect, residents will have 60 days to remove, sell or transfer such magazines from city limits in compliance with state law, or surrender them to the Los Angeles police department.

Whitney Houston's Daughter Bobbi Kristina Dead at 22
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter Bobbi Kristina has died at the age of 22.
She passed away outside Atlanta in the hospice care facility where she's been since June 24 ... when her family decided to take her off all meds. As we first reported, a specialist had told them there was no chance of recovery.
