  Olawale Ashimi better known as Brymo, could be said to be a happy man considering the arrival of his baby some months back and his new ‘Trance’ medley collection which has just gone global.
Still celebrating him and his achievements, the singer recently revealed the identity of his son, Olanrewaju, which he has long kept away from the media.
Brymo and his girlfriend welcomed the boy on March 27, 2015 and he has since seems to be enjoying fatherhood which he can’t stop gushing about like describing his son’s smile just the way he does.

Nigerian troops rescue over 300 captives held by Boko Haram

 
At least 338 people held captive by Boko Haram insurgents have regained their freedom.
Nigerian army spokesperson Colonel Sani Usman added that 30 Boko Haram terrorists were killed in the raid and they were all rescued on the edge of the sect’s stronghold in the northeast’s Sambisa forest.

Pastor rapes teenager during deliverance, blames devil


The Nasarawa State Police command on Monday arrested a 46 year-old pastor, Ifeanyi Bernard, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in the Karu Local Government Area of the state.
According to police authorities, the alleged rape took place on November 3 when the pastor was performing deliverance on the teenager.

S-East govs divided over pro-Biafra struggle

South-East governors appeared divided, yesterday over the ongoing pro-Biafra Republic protests. While Imo and Ebonyi states kicked against the protests, Abia State remained neutral, while Anambra State said it was studying the developments.
Also the umbrella body of Igbo socio-cultural organisations, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha have distanced themselves from the ongoing protests in the South-East for the actualization of Republic of Biafra, saying all genuine Igbo leaders are against the protests.

Pro-Biafra protests ground activities in Onitsha

Activities were yesterday grounded in Onitsha, the commercial city of Anambra State and its environs by youth sympathetic to Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who were protesting the continued detention of their leader, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu. One of the protesters was feared dead.
Vehicular movements were also disrupted along the Onitsha/Enugu Expressway, Onitsha/Owerri Road, Uga, Atani, Ogaru Local Government Roads, Onitsha/Aguleri, Nsugbe, Nkwelle/Ezunaka Roads, Old and New Market Roads, Nkpor, Ogidi, Obosi Roads, thereby causing traffic gridlock on all the roads within and outside Onitsha.

Joy finally returns as Transformer was delivered, Just close to FINCA Micro finance Bank, Wetheral Road Owerri, Imo State Capital.  The residents have been in total darkness for the past four months, which saw many Businesses in that area at full shut down, due to low turn up of businesses. On 6th of Nov 2015...A brand New Power Transformer was Delivered to the street, and happiness and smile finally light up their day.Tho source of the transformer at the time of this report wasn't disclosed.

Ogoni group accuses Nigeria Customs of seizing Saro-Wiwa memorabilia


Ken Saro-Wiwa, one of nine Ogoni community activists executed after an unfair trial in 1995. 
A memorabilia donated to the Ogoni people to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of the writer and environmental activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa, has been seized by the Nigeria Customs Service, the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People has alleged.
The group said Customs claimed the souvenir had “political value”.
Mr. Saro-Wiwa was executed by a military tribunal set up by the Sani Abacha-led junta on November 10, 1995.

FG to pay oil marketers N413bn subsidy debts

 
The Federal Government, yesterday, approved the payment of N413 billion to petroleum products marketers being the outstanding payment for subsidy claims‎, even as marketers insist they are owed about N470billion.
The development comes as the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, which is responsible for approving such claims revealed that it was yet to be notified of the payment.

3 shot dead, 5 injured as rival cults clash in Abakaliki

 
NO fewer  than three persons were last week shot dead, while five others sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of their bodies as rival cult groups clashed in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Those killed in the clash include 35-year-old-man and beer palour owner, Amaechi Ude an indigene of Enugu State but resident in Abakaliki where he was doing his business.

A 29-year-old blogger, Desmond Ike-Chima, has been remanded in prison pending the hearing of his bail application over alleged malicious publication against the Managing Director of United Bank of Africa, UBA, Plc, Philips Oduoza. 
Accordint to Vanguard, The defendant was remanded by Justice Mohammed Yunusa of a Federal High Court Lagos.
He was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on malicious publication, preferred against him by the police.

He claimed his gang had already killed a rival who tried to move in on their business. On a good day, he said they take in up to $250, more than Brazil's monthly minimum wage.
