ELECTIONS 2015: 81% of voters now have PVCs – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has disclosed that it has achieved 81.22 per cent in the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards across the country. The commission released the data in Abuja on Friday, adding that
of 68,833,476 registered voters, 55,904,272 had collected their PVCs. The latest statement released by the commission showed that Ogun State was still trailing other states and the Federal Capital Territory with a mere 49.46%. Ogun State has 1,829, 534 registered voters. Zamfara State is LEADING other states with 95.97% of its 1,495,717 voters with their PVCs, followed by Jigawa State, which scored 95.91% in PVC collection.
