Two men docked for stealing a bag containing valuables worth N1.3million

A 35-year-old unemployed man identified as Sunday Awoyemi, and a businessman, Rokeeb Eniafe, were on Monday, docked before a Tinubu Chief Magistrates Court on Lagos Island for allegedly stealing a bag containing
N1.3million worth of valuables. Awoyemi, who resides at 10 Onielegbale Street, Lagos Island, Lagos and Eniafe who resides at 15, Olumegbon Street, Lagos Island, respectively, are facing a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing preferred against them by the police.

The prosecutor, ASP Chidi Okoye, told the court that the defendants committed the offences at 9.30p.m on March 11 at Asogbon Street, on Lagos Island in Lagos. The prosecutor explained that the defendants stole a bag containing recharge cards of various mobile phone networks valued at N1million, cash sum of N300,000 and three mobile phones valued at N50,000 belonging to one Olawepo Olawale.
