After emerging winner of the African Artiste of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards over the weekend, Nigerian reggae act, Patoranking, has revealed what should change about him. The singer said he is taking the decision because of the way he now sees life.
“I have started to look at life differently. When you are thanking God for every little you; every meal, every time you wake up, every time you take a sip of water, you cannot help but be more thankful for life itself, for the unlikely and miraculous fact that you exist at all.
“This path was not that of my conscious choosing. But after persistent subconscious confrontation, after failing so many times, I have finally embraced what is, 'souly' for me and I am thankful,” the singer said.
On Saturday, Patoranking beat AKA (South Africa), Diamond Platinumz (Tanzania), Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage (Nigeria) to win at the ceremony. The GMA was held at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana.
