The Senate minority leader, George Akume, has denied meeting with the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, over his bid to become the next Senate president.Akume also denied reports that he was running for the position of Senate president, as he was busy attending to pressing national issues.
The former governor of Benue state’s media aide, Beckie Orpin, said in a statement that he did not meet with Tinubu on Tuesday but attended the 8th National Assembly retreat and later held meetings with his colleagues in Abuja.
