Chief Athan Nneji Achonu is the Senator-elect set to represent Okigwe Senatorial zone of Imo State in the Federal House. He was born on 31st May 1959. Chief Athan who is popularly known as the one armed General is a renowned agronomist, happily married and blessed with kids.
The one thing that is spectacular about this courageous man is the fact that he has only one arm! Many would have perceived this as a disability but not Chief Athan, infact his election has shown that any thing is possible. He is regarded as a very respected and courageous man.
