Northern Senators Unify Despite Different Ambitions

Senate Presidency: Northern Senators Unify Despite Different Ambitions
Reports coming in states that Northern Senators despite their difference in choice for Senate President have all agreed to work together and not try to blackmail themselves.
The top two pretenders for the position from the North East, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume and Senator Ahmad Lawan have verbally agreed to support each other if one of them gets the position.

Ndume has also agreed to an alliance with Kwara State’s Bukola Saraki who is said to be the prefered choice of the APC due to hailing from the North Central.
Ndume is planning to join a camp known as The Like Minds if the APC doesn’t change it  initial position of zoning the Senate presidency to the North Central.
Saraki will also do the same, if the position is zoned to the North East.
Ndume and Lawal have also entered a pact not to rubbish each others name during and after the choice is made by the party.
Ndume was the one to confirm the agreements to Vanguard and said that the senators don’t want to disgrace themselves as their will only be one Senate President at the end of the day.
He said that he and Lawan were like brothers and plan to continue to be so after their terms in office.
Meanwhile at the war front, Saraki Camp is getting larger with many Senators backing him while Ndume has secured seven senators from the South West due to his wide affiliations.
