A powerful bomb explosion has hit an area near the international airport in the Afghan capital, Kabul, with an unconfirmed number of casualties, reports say. Preliminary reports said on Sunday that the blast took place in the vicinity of the Hawashinasi area near the Hamid Karzai International Airport in kabul.
Unconfirmed reports say at least three people have been killed and 20 others wounded. Local sources say a foreigner and two Afghans are among the fatalities. Reports say a convoy of foreign US-led soldiers was most likely the target of the attack.
