Bayern Munich have entered negotiations with Juventus over a potential deal for midfielder Arturo Vidal. Following Bastian Schweinsteiger's move to Manchester United, the Bundesliga champions are in the hunt for a new midfielder and source understands Pep Guardiola sees the Juve star as the ideal candidate.
The two sides have already begun talks and the Serie A club are demanding €40 million for a player who has been a pivotal part of the team since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011.
Bayern were close to reaching an agreement with Vidal before his move to Turin, after which then-president Uli Hoeness criticised him for "breaking his word".
The Chilean has since gone on to win four Serie A titles and reach the Champions League final with the Bianconeri. He is contracted to the club until June 2017.
