Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has told traditional rulers in the state that they will be held responsible for any untoward incident, including kidnapping, that happens in their respective autonomous communities and charged the traditional rulers to be fully in control of what happens in their domains.

He gave the charge while handing over certificates of recognition and staff of office to the seven newly recognised traditional rulers for seven new Autonomous Communities including the four Autonomous Communities carved out of Owerri Municipal; while the other three communities were created out of Ideato North Local Government.

The four new Autonomous Communities created out of Owerri Municipal with their traditional rulers are: Umuodu Autonomous Community with Eze Linus Ihebom as the traditional ruler and Umuoyima Autonomous Community with Eze Theophilus Ubah as the traditional ruler.
Others are: Umuororonjo Autonomous Community, with Eze Rowland Clinton Ibegbulam as the traditional ruler and Umuonyeche Autonomous Community, having Eze Uche Austine Possible.
