Flying Eagles on Wednesday qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup following the team’s 4-1 defeat of Congo, its second victory in the ongoing Africa Youth Championship (AYC) in Senegal.
Nigeria had beaten Senegal 3-1 in its opening group match last Sunday.
With the victory, Nigeria has qualified for the semi-final of the AYC and by extension the World Cup and tops group A with six points, and scored seven goals conceded two.
