The Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday, October 27, interrogated Fuji king, King Wasiu Ayinde, K1, over the shooting of a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye.
K1 was interrogated at Eleweran, the Ogun state command headquarters of the police around 11am.
The Talazo singer was quizzed by police operatives attached to the Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Bureau for six straight hours before he was released on bail.
K1 left the premises of the Eleweran Command Headquarters around 5:30p.m on the promise that he would make himself available for further questioning after he had provided a reliable surety who is expected to produce him any time he was summoned by the police.
It was gathered that K1 had travelled out of the country immediately after the show thus his lawyer appearing before the police when K1 was invited for interrogation.
The police command had planned to declare him wanted this week if he had not appeared before it.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the acting police public relations officer confirmed that K1’s case was transferred to the Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Bureau on the order of the commissioner of police.
K1 was questioned over the alleged shooting of Azeez Kofoworola, a student of OOU, department of Business Education on Saturday, October 10 by one of K1 band members.
Kofoworola was hit while sitting inside an unregistered Honda Accord car belonging to an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, identified as Hassan Afeez at Limelight hotel in Ago-Iwoye during a party put together to mark Ago-Iwoye day.
