The Leicester City striker has enjoyed a prolific
start to the season, but the Blues defender is ready to bend the rules
to stop the England international
Vardy has scored 14 goals for Leicester this season, and has recently broken the Premier League record previously held by Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy when he struck in 11 consecutive games.
Ivanovic is wary of the threat Vardy poses, but will attempt to stop the England international by any means necessary.
When asked id he would kick Vardy, Ivanovic replied: "If this helps, yes. Some of the strikers don’t like [it] when you kick [them]. You kill their confidence.
"Vardy at the moment is running a lot and is making the space for other players as well. They are confident. I think it will be very hard."
Chelsea sit in the bottom half of the table ahead of Monday's clash with Leicester after a poor start to the season. Jose Mourinho's side have lost eight of their 15 Premier League games, while Claudio Ranieri's men have been beaten just once.
