NIGERIA’S Dream Team are set to finish off the Gabonese U-23 side in the second leg of the 2015 All-African Games qualifier billed for the National Stadium, Abuja, today.
In the first leg match played a fortnight ago in Libreville, the Dream Team, coached by Samson Siasia, humbled their hosts 4-1.
Speaking ahead of today’s match, coach Siasia called on his players to win the game so as to feature in the proper tournament in Congo, later this year.
Also, one of the goalkeepers of the team, Abiodun Akande, in a brief chat with Tribunesport, declared their readiness for the game, saying “We are going for total victory against Gabon, having defeated them on their home soil. We won’t relent, in fact we will approach Saturday’s match as if it is a final match.”
In order to draw maximum support for the team, the Nigeria Football Federation has decided to throw the gate open for spectators to cheer the team to victory.
