The Yobe State government has concluded plans to sponsor 31 Christians to this year’s pilgrimage.
This was disclosed by the Coordinator of the state Christian Pilgrims Board, Hamza Baba Gazala, when he visited the state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam on Thursday.
He said the 31 pilgrims are clerics and officials that would serve as guides to other pilgrims from the state during the exercise.
Gazala expressed his appreciation to the Yobe government for the gesture, saying pilgrims will pray for the state and country.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Engineer Abubakar D Aliyu, said Yobe sponsors Christian and Muslim clerics on pilgrimage to pray for the state.
