A man was arrested on charges of animal cruelty after allegedly adopting animals in order to slaughter and eat them, police in Washington said. Olympia Police said that they have arrested David Williford, for holding dozens of rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and dogs in horrific conditions.
Investigators found blood stains, dirt and dead bodies strewn all over his basement and backyard. About 50 animals that were still alive were rescued from his property, but were described as desperate for food and water.
Williford was booked into jail and his bail was set at $150,000.
