Nigerian troops rescue over 300 captives held by Boko Haram

 
At least 338 people held captive by Boko Haram insurgents have regained their freedom.
Nigerian army spokesperson Colonel Sani Usman added that 30 Boko Haram terrorists were killed in the raid and they were all rescued on the edge of the sect’s stronghold in the northeast’s Sambisa forest.


Self-defense fighter Bukar Jimeta said they killed at least 150 militants and recovered guns and explosives used in suicide bombings that have killed hundreds in recent months
Dozens of Nigerians held captive by Boko Haram were being treated in a transit camp in the Nigerian town of Mubi with children receiving malaria injections. Brigade Commander VIctor Ezugwu says operations are still ongoing.
