Buhari,Osinbajo Extol Mbaka’s Courage

MBAKA.

CATHOLIC priest, Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has admonished Nigerians to continue to pray for the present administration in its efforts to recover the country from the shackles of bad governance, even as President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo have lauded the clergyman’s courage of speaking truth to power.
Mbaka spoke with State House correspondents yesterday after he held a closed door meeting with Buhari at the Presidential Villa.

The clergyman assured Nigerians that, in spite of the current challenges facing the country, there was light at the end of the tunnel.

His words: “I wish to assure Nigerians that in the midst of what is happening, we shall succeed because when God made David to be successful, he was promoted. A time of promotion is coming for this land irrespective of what we are passing through.”
Buhari expressed appreciation for the courage and forthrightness of Mbaka, noting that such quality was needed if the country must move forward.
He said one of the best exhortations to the nation he has heard from the pulpit was the one made early this year by Mbaka of the Adoration Ministries, Enugu.
The President said:”Thank you very much for what you have done and said. It brought you out to the whole country as a man of courage. It was honest and well delivered. It has gone into the records as one of the best concerns expressed from the pulpit, not because it favoured my party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and me, but because it was good for the country, “
Buhari reaffirmed his conviction that change will come to the country”with a lot of hard work, despite the security and economic problems.”
Osinbajo, who was present at the President’s audience with Mbaka, described the priest as a man “who stood for truth and propriety, and declared corruption unacceptable.”
The Vice-President added that the Buhari administration “is committed to truth and justice, and will not encourage corruption in any way.”
