After the defeat of President Goodluck Jonathan at the March 28, not much has been heard from Patience Jonathan, the First Lady, who is usually actively participating in the political life of the country.
One of those who visited GEJ to commend him for conceding the defeat, disclosed to The source that the president’s wife also hosted guests in the presidential villa.
“After meeting the President in the new Banquet Hall located within the premised of his office, I also visited the First Lady inside the President’s residence before leaving. She was in high spirit when I met her.”
It is alleged that Jonathan’s wife might have left the country for the United Kingdom to sort out some domestic issues.
A presidency source said:
“She is in UK. She may use the opportunity of the trip to visit her children.”
